At a glance

Shadowrocket is a paid app available on the App Store, sold as a one-time purchase. Buying the app does not include a connection service plan. This guide is for first-time buyers, anyone checking a charge, or users reinstalling on a new device. Check the current App Store price, distinguish the app purchase from any existing service fees, then confirm your account, compatibility, and configuration.

Current price: check the App Store purchase button

Shadowrocket is sold as a one-time app purchase. Check the price shown in the App Store for the storefront associated with your Apple Account; search results, old screenshots, and prices from other regions are not reliable checkout references. Prices and currencies vary by storefront and may change, so this guide does not quote a fixed price.

The key question is “How much will I pay for the app?”—not “How much does my connection service cost each month?” Check the former on the App Store purchase confirmation screen. The latter is covered by the terms of a service you already use. Check the payee, billing period, and what’s included separately for each charge.

  1. Open the product page from our App Store authenticity check and confirm the product name is Shadowrocket.
  2. Confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited and the app ID is 932747118.
  3. Check the price and currency shown on the purchase button. If you see a redownload icon or “Open,” first check whether you’ve already purchased or installed the app.
  4. After starting a purchase, check the amount and account again on the system confirmation screen before approving it. Don’t assume the current price based on this guide’s publication date.

Bottom line: check the checkout screen; don’t budget based on an old price

If a price you found differs from the one currently shown on your device, use the App Store purchase confirmation screen as the reference. If you’ve already purchased the app, check your purchase history before confirming another payment.

How to check in-app purchases and account subscriptions

Paid downloads, in-app purchases, and subscriptions listed in your account are separate things. The purchase button shows the price to get the app. If the product page has an “In-App Purchases” section, expand it to review the listed items. The fact that an app can import a subscription does not mean the app itself is billed monthly.

In Shadowrocket, “Subscribe” for updating server details is not the same as a recurring billing record in your App Store account. One is a way to retrieve configuration data; the other is a billing arrangement managed through your Apple Account. When investigating a charge, check the transaction record rather than relying on whether you see “Subscribe” in the app.

  • Check the product page: Scroll down to the information section. If “In-App Purchases” is listed, expand it and review the item names and prices. What appears depends on the current App Store page.
  • Check recurring charges: On your iPhone or iPad, open “Settings” → Apple Account → “Subscriptions” and review the items and renewal details shown.
  • Check a one-time transaction: Find your purchase history on your App Store account page and compare the transaction name, date, and amount. Menu names may vary by system version.
  • Check service charges: Review the bill or agreement for the service you already use, including its expiration date, data limits, and device limits. Don’t infer these terms from your app purchase history.

What the app purchase and service plan each include

Buying the app ≠ buying a service plan. Shadowrocket provides app features for connections, configuration, rule handling, and diagnostics. A service you already use provides the server address, port, authentication details, and applicable service terms needed to connect. Buying the app does not generate these details or extend the validity of an existing service.

Check these separately: the app purchase and your existing service

App purchase
  • Check Shadowrocket’s purchase status in the App Store.
  • Redownload it from the purchase history of the original purchasing account.
  • Manage connections and configurations in Home, Config, and Settings.
  • Check the App Store page for device compatibility and system requirements.
Your existing service
  • Check the server address, port, and authentication details provided by your service provider.
  • Confirm whether the service has expired or run out of data.
  • Check the device limit and the number of simultaneous connections allowed.
  • Manage the subscription URL and update details according to your existing service’s instructions.

This site does not provide, sell, or recommend connection services. The setup instructions below assume you already have your own service provider and subscription.

For example, if your existing service specifies a particular server port, enter the value exactly as provided. Don’t change it to 443 just because HTTPS commonly uses 443. The port, protocol, and authentication settings must match. A successful app purchase only confirms the purchase; it does not confirm that your connection settings are correct.

How to get started after purchase: import your details, then check Global Routing

After purchasing and installing the app, use Home to import your existing server details or subscription. Then check that the entry appears and its key fields are complete. Updating a subscription retrieves server details from its provider; it does not renew the app purchase on the App Store. A successful update also does not guarantee that the remote service is still active.

  1. On Home, use the add option to import your existing details. Confirm that the address, port, protocol, and authentication information match the original.
  2. If you use a subscription, update it and confirm that the entries refresh. Don’t post your subscription URL publicly; its credentials may grant access to your service.
  3. Check Global Routing. If you use Config, go to Config as well and confirm which configuration file is active and what rules it contains.
  4. If connections behave differently from the manual toggle, check the conditions saved under Settings → On Demand. These affect when connections are triggered, not the purchase or service term.

The following compares only Shadowrocket’s three Global Routing options. They determine how traffic handled by the app is routed; they do not replace a purchase or fix an expired service. Global Routing also includes Scene, which this guide does not cover. When checking charges and connections for the first time, avoid changing several conditions at once.

Config

Recommended

Choose a route based on the rules in the current configuration file. Rules can specify either a proxy or DIRECT. Traffic that does not match an earlier rule continues through the remaining rules or the final match in the configuration; it does not necessarily connect directly.

Best for: everyday use with a verified configuration and rule-based routing

Proxy

Send traffic handled by the app through the currently selected proxy route, making it easier to check the effects of rules against Config. Switching to Proxy won’t restore access to an expired service or resolve an authentication error.

Best for: temporarily testing a proxy connection and distinguishing rule issues from connection issues

Direct

Connect directly without routing traffic through the selected proxy server. If a page opens after switching, that only confirms the page is reachable over a direct connection; it does not confirm that your existing proxy service is working.

Best for: checking whether your current network can reach a destination directly

“Recommended” assumes your current configuration has been checked and is correct. For example, DOMAIN-SUFFIX,example.com,PROXY specifies how to handle a domain suffix, while FINAL,DIRECT sends traffic that did not match an earlier rule directly. These are configuration rules, not purchase terms. Importing a server subscription does not mean you have a suitable set of rules.

On a new device or iPad: find your original purchase first

If you’ve already purchased Shadowrocket, check for it under your original Apple Account before getting it on a new iPhone, reinstalling it, or installing it on an iPad. An app missing from a device does not mean the account has never purchased it. Also distinguish the account used for App Store media and purchases from other accounts signed in on the device.

  1. Open your App Store account page and go to your apps or purchased items. The exact menu name depends on the current system interface.
  2. Search for Shadowrocket, confirm the product and developer, then redownload it.
  3. If the product page still shows a price, first check the purchasing account, purchase history, and whether the app is hidden. Don’t confirm another payment until you’ve worked out why.
  4. After installation, restore or reimport your own configuration separately. Purchase history and configuration data are different; redownloading the app does not mean an existing subscription will automatically appear in Home.

Common questions about purchases and charges

I bought Shadowrocket. Why do I still need connection details?

You purchased the app. First check Home for an existing usable entry. If there isn’t one, import the details provided by a service you already use. A payment receipt does not include a server address, port, or authentication details, and cannot be imported as a connection configuration.

There’s a charge every month. Is the app renewing?

You can’t tell from the amount or billing interval alone. Open “Settings” → Apple Account → “Subscriptions,” then check your App Store purchase history and the payee on the bill. If the charge is from a service you already use, review that service’s bill. Shadowrocket is a one-time app purchase.

Do I need to buy the app again if a subscription update fails?

Don’t use another purchase as a troubleshooting step. First check that your existing subscription URL is complete, your service is active, and your current network can reach the update URL. Then try updating again. The app’s purchase status and the subscription URL’s validity are separate issues.

Will I have to pay for the app again after deleting it?

Sign in with the original purchasing account and redownload the app from your App Store purchase history. If you can’t find it, check the account and purchase history, then use the purchase support option provided by the store. Save your configuration separately before deleting the app; redownloading it does not restore all local data.

The toggle turns on after purchase, but webpages won’t load. Did I buy the wrong thing?

The toggle alone cannot confirm that the entire network path is working. Check the server details in Home, Global Routing, the active rules in Config, and DNS settings in order, changing only one item at a time. Also confirm that your existing service has not expired. Don’t try to fix a connection problem by paying again.
